METS employs a work force consisting of 2 main classifications of staff, Counsellor and Support Worker. Each classification is designed to support METS participants in achieving their goals and greater independence in daily life and employment opportunities. METS also offers opportunities for career growth within specialized positions and management.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Counsellor
Responsible to provide programmatic and general support. This position requires the individual to be certified as a Human Service Counsellor or equivalent and posses the following skills and qualifications:
- Clear SD check and criminal record check.
- First-Aid and CPR certificate.
- To participate in the development of Individual Employment Service Plans for assigned clients.
- Accountable for the programmatic service delivery of clients on the caseload, including,
- Involvement in the development of guidelines, programs, and skill training.
- To ensure all necessary documentation for guidelines/training is current and presentable (i.e., data collection).
- The recommendation of program revision.
- Ability to develop behavioural management guidelines.
- To provide training according to the program schedule.
- To provide support to the Support Workers through specific expertise which make natural leaders in the department.
- To orient new clients to the service.
- To participate in the development and implementation of a variety of activities. *
- To follow all support guidelines/programs as required. *
- To support individuals to meet all personal needs; (i.e., personal hygiene, eating skills)*
- To maintain all required daily contact with families/other service providers regarding day-to-day issues.
- To provide general support to individuals participating in activities offered in the *
- To be an effective team member. *
- To demonstrate positive work ethic including punctuality, attendance, and appropriate use of sick time. *
- To have a clear understanding of the values of M.E.T.S and to demonstrate knowledge of these values when performing all required duties. *
- To be a role model for clients in all aspects of the program. *
- To represent the program and agency in a positive manner in all written and verbal communication with families and other service providers as required. *
- Other related duties as required. *

Support Worker
A minimum of the following skills, abilities and criteria are necessary for employment:
- High School Diploma
- Clear SD check and criminal record check.

- To be a role model for clients in all aspects of the program.
